How we helped make them the number 1 dental practice in Tewkesbury

Tewkesbury Dental was a client with a lot of potentials. They are situated in one of the best locations in Tewkesbury but they were not getting the exposure to get a constant supply of new patients.

We have been working with Tewkesbury Dental for almost 6 months and in that time we have taken their practice from not being found to being seen as the number 1 dental practice by their patients.

On-Site SEO

The first step for any website to be found in the search engines is to make sure the website is fully optimised.

Once granted access to the WordPress admin, we went through every page and post and optimised them fully. We optimised a variety of elements on the pages & posts:

  • Header tags
  • Title tags
  • Meta descriptions
  • Alt tags
  • Interlinking
  • to name a few

On-Page SEO does take time but we managed to get the whole website complete within a two week period. We re-submitted the website through Google Webmaster Console using an updated XML sitemap and Robots.txt file.

Within a couple of days, we started to see movement in the search results.

Schema

Json Schema is the preferred language of Google and other search engines. Schema helps the search engines understand what a website is about and by adding it to your website, you will increase your position in the search engines for your preferred keywords.

Within the Schema we added to the website, we added all their local business information, images, categories, relevant links and also their ratings on their Google Maps.

Now, all rankings inner pages display “Google Stars” which has increased their CTR (Click Through Rate) on those pages.

Win-Win Situation, increased position in Google and increased clicks onto their website.

Google Maps Optimisation

The biggest “asset” for a local business is a Google My Business listing. We were given access to their GMB listing and we optimised their information to correspond to their website.

We also optimised their images with EXIF data and re-added the images to their listing. We attached:

  • Location Information
  • Map information
  • Keywords
  • Contact information

Once their listing was optimised we worked at building local relevancy to move their profile up the Google Maps search results.

Directory Alignment

Once we complete the Google Maps Optimisation for the dental practice, we began aligning their information on the third party websites that the practice is listed on.

Part of getting a Google Maps Listing to appear in the top three listings (Map Pack) is local relevancy and directories are a great way to do this.

Great optimisation is making sure that all the listings are absolutely correct. The information must be exact to their GMB listing:

Reputation Marketing

The real reason why Tewkesbury Dental wanted to work with us is that they wanted to increase their reputation online and the best way to do that is with patient reviews.

A tablet was ordered and now sits on top of their reception for patients to “Check-in” before their appointment.

We have generated over 80 reviews which have increased the number of inbound calls asking for appointments.

We continue to generate reviews and then market those reviews across their social media accounts.

Website Management

The best way to prevent your website from being hacked is keeping it 100% up to date. A good defence is a great offence!

We manage their WordPress website and whenever one of their plugins or website core files needs updating, we do it on their behalf.

Any updates are done by us as and when they are required by the dental practice.
